Biographical note: Caroline Mary Hughston, known as Mary, was born in 1881 in Pennsylvania. She came to Tucson in 1903 and started teaching school at Amphitheater School. Later she worked with Consolidated National Bank and Steinfeld Department Store. In 1940 she opened her own business selling specialty items for women.
